Welcome to the website for those interested in bachelor’s and master’s studies in English at the Prague University of Economics and Business.

In December 2021, the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) opened its doors virtually to those interested in Bachelor and Master degree programmes in English. It was a great opportunity to learn more about VŠE and its students, saw the campus and got to know the university life as well as the programme coordinators. There was space also for questions from applicants, who had an opportunity to ask what they were interested in through a chat with coordinators and students. Now, the whole video is available below. Why VŠE?

The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) is the leading university in the fields of economics, finance, business and management in the Czech Republic. Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the tuition fee per year?

The tuition fee for all Bachelor and Master study programmes is 3,800 EUR. 

How much is the application fee?

The application fee for each e-application is 50 EUR.

Can I apply for more than just one study programme?

Yes, the number of applications is not limited.

Is there any limitations who can apply?

No. There is no limitation in regards to your age or previous studies if you meet the application requirements.

Is there any overview of all Bachelor/Master degree programmes including their admission requirements?

Please take a look at this brochure that compares all programmes not only according to the admission requirements. You can also find there websites and contact to the programmes’ coordinators.

Where is the link for submitting applications?

With the help of “E-applications” via the Integrated Study Information System (InSIS) here.

When is the application deadline?

Applications are open on December 1, 2021 and go until April 30, 2022 except for the BBA programme with ist deadline on June 10, 2022.

Which documents are required for application?

The document requirements depend on the programme. For more information, please see the programmes’ websites.

Do I need to come to the Czech Republic to take the entrance exam?

No, there are only long-distance entrance exams such as essay on given topic, online interview, etc. For more information, please, visit the website of respective study programme.

Do you offer a scholarship?

Unfortunately, VŠE does not provide any scholarships, apart from the merit scholarship. This scholarship is based on your GPA during your studies at our University, and therefore can be obtained from the 3rd semester onwards only. Our tuition fee is 3,800 EUR per year and the living costs are 5,050 EUR. When counting on that, this makes Prague and the whole Czech Republic great deal to live in and study for foreigners when comparing the rest of the world.

Can I transfer my study from another university?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the recognition of your previous studies. That is evaluated on a case by case basis between the student and programme coordinator/academic director.

Do you offer English language courses?

VŠE does offer English language classes. You may find some more information here.

Do you offer Czech language courses?

We do offer Czech course, please refer here.

Are you able to issue a pre-acceptance letter?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Nevertheless, for the aims of grant application, we can provide you with a confirmation of your application. The letter of acceptance is issued only after you are admitted into a programme, i.e. you pass successfully the entrance exams.

What if I am not able to submit my previous studies recognition by the application deadline?

We do realize that many of our applicants can not submit their Recognition of Previous Studies till the application deadline or beginning of studies in September. Due to this fact, we can enrol our freshmen as “Special students”. This type of student status has no impact on study duties or rights within the university. Once we are provided with the requested documents, the status is changed into the “Regular study” mode immediately.

Do you offer accommodation at dormitories?

Yes, the accommodation at the university dormitories is guaranteed for all students enrolled in English-taught degree programmes. You can apply for a spot at the dormitory once you are admitted into the study programme. More information can be found here or on the websites of the respective programmes.
