This year, the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) will also open its doors – this time virtual – to those interested in Bachelor and Master degree programmes in English. We would like to invite you to a live stream from the campus.

This event is a great opportunity to learn more about VŠE and its students, see the campus and get to know the university life as well as the programme coordinators. There will be space also for your questions, through a chat with coordinators and students you will be able to ask everything you are interested in.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the tuition fee per year?

The tuition fee for all Bachelor and Master study programmes is 3,800 EUR. 

How much is the application fee?

The application fee for each e-application is 50 EUR.

Is there any overview of all Bachelor/Master degree programmes including their admission requirements?

Please take a look at this brochure that compares all programmes not only according to the admission requirements. You can also find there websites and contact to the programmes’ coordinators.

Where is the link for submitting applications?

With the help of “E-applications” via the Integrated Study Information System (InSIS) here.

When is the application deadline?

Applications were open on December 1 and go until April 30, except for the BBA programme – June 10.

Which documents do you require for application?

The document requirements depend on the programme. For more information, please see the programmes’ websites.

Do I need to come to the Czech Republic to take the entrance exam?

No, there are only long-distance entrance exams such as essay on given topic, online interview, etc. For more information, please, visit the website of respective study programme.

Do you offer a scholarship?

VŠE does not provide with any scholarships, apart from merit scholarship – based on your GPA during studies at our University. I suggest that you look at the following websites:

Our tuition fee is 3,800 EUR per year and the living costs are 4,800 EUR. When counting on that, this makes Prague and the whole Czech Republic great deal to live in and study for foreigners when comparing the rest of the world.

Can I transfer my study from another university?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you recognition of your previous studies. That is evaluated on a case by case basis between the student and programme coordinator/academic director.

Do you offer English language courses?

VŠE does offer English language classes. You may find some more information here.

Do you offer Czech language courses?

We do offer Czech course, please refer here.

Are you able to issue a pre-acceptance letter?

We would recommend that you fill in your application and pay the application fee now. After that, please reach out to the programme coordinator, who will confirm a document stating that you have submitted an application and that the admission process will still continue after the end of April.

What if I am not able to submit my previous studies recognition by the application deadline?

We do realize that many of our applicants can not submit us their Recognition of Previous Studies till deadline in April as well as till enrolment in September. Issuing Recognition is long process and takes time. Due to this fact, we standardly enrol our freshmen as „Special students“. This type of students has the same study duties and rights within Uni as regular students. At the moment the documents are nostrified, we transfer students from „Special study“ to the „Regular study“ with the whole study history in our institution.

Do you offer accommodation at dormitories?

Yes, and the accommodation is guaranteed for all bachelor, master and PhD degree students enrolled in English-taught programmes. You can apply for a spot at university dormitory once you’re admitted into a programme. More information can be found here or on the websites of the respective programmes.

Do you know in which form will the lectures be delivered in the next academic year?

It has not been decided yet about the teaching form in the academic year 2021/22, however, we would recommend that you check this webpage regularly to stay updated.
